Ցիտոպլազման կամ բջջապլազման բջջի հիմնական բաղադրամասն ու դրա կիսահեղուկ ներքին միջավայրն է։ Ցիտոպլազման անօրգանական աղերի և տարբեր օրգանական նյութերի ջրային լուծույթ է։ Նրա մեջ կան շատ սպիտակուցներ։

Բջջիջը բաղկացած է բջջաթաղանթից, ցիտոպլազմայից և ժատանգականության նյութից։ Բջջում կան տարբեր կառույցներ, որոնք կատարում են այս կամ այն ֆունկցիան։ Դրանք կոչվում են օրգանոիդներ կամ օրգանելներ։ Բջիջները իրարից տարբերվում օրգանոիդներով։
